Gutters with gutter guard
Gutter guard helps, but it isn't set-and-forget. Seeds, fine leaf litter and grit wash through the mesh and settle underneath, and leaves mat on top where embers can catch.
I lift the guard section by section, clean the gutter underneath, brush the mesh off and refit it the way it came off. If any of it is damaged or loose, I'll photograph it for you.
I don't install gutter guard at the moment. If you're choosing some for a bushfire area, the CFA and your local council have guidance on non-combustible, ember-resistant mesh.
